During this period, Anisakis, Paragonimus, Cryptosporidium, Severe invasive Streptococcus, Campylobacter, Helicobacter, Salmonella, Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli O157:H7, Enteric virus, Borna disease virus and some other pathogenic organisms, were examined in conjunction with several investigative modalities; including molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, virology (where applicable), pathobiology, as well as epidemiology.
