 note = {2011年11月12日に相模原高校生30 人を対象に「フクロウが運んできたもの」という実習をおこなった。6 人ずつの5 班に分け，各班に本学の学生を補助員としてつけた。実習では，初めに哺乳類の骨を解説した。次に八ヶ岳でフクロウが営巣した巣箱に残された齧歯類の骨を取り出し，種類を識別して，齧歯類の頭数を出した。これに2 時間ほどかかったが，高校生は比較的熱心に作業をした。ただし骨の識別は標本で確認せず，補助員に質問していた。実習後，森林伐採，フクロウの食物，ネズミなどのつながりを解説した。その後アンケート提出してもらったところ，実習内容には関心をもち，よい体験であったが，時間が長かったという声が多かった。レポートでは解説の内容をまとめ，感想としては自分で実物に接したこと，分析結果が自然界の生き物のつながりを反映していることに印象づけられたようだった。補助員への好印象も記されていた。自分を森林，伐採者，フクロウ，森林のネズミ，草原のネズミの立場を想定して作文を書いてもらったところ，童話風にするなどそれぞれの立場になった興味深いものがあった。全体として教科書の説明ではなく，実物に接し，分析し，その結果の意味を考察したことが，高校生の知的刺激になったと考えられた。, A practice entitled “What owls brought to the nests” as a collaboration activity between Azabu University and Sagamihara High School was done on November 12, 2011. Thirty pupils participated and grouped into five groups. In advance to practice, I interpreted general morphology of mammal bones. We distributed prey remains left in nest boxes of Ural Owls collected at Mt. Yatsugatake, central Japan. The pupils picked up the rodent bones and identified them. It took about two hours and the pupils worked patiently, though they did not show concern for identification and asked the answer from teaching assistants. After the analyses, I explained the significance of forest logging, interrelations between the owls and rodents and the linkage among organisms. The high school prepared an inquiry sheet and a report format, and the pupils filled them after the practice. According to them, it seems that they were impressed by the experience where they touched and observed the real materials, and by results which suggested the linkage of plants and animals as well as the effects of logging. We asked them to write freely the opinions presuming to be an owl, a mice, a tree or a forester. Some pupils wrote a tale-like stories. This seems to stimulate their imagination. As a whole, the experience to observe real materials, analyze, and consider the meaning of the results, which is different from what they are taught in daily life, functioned well to stimulate their curiosity., P(論文), 40019736815, 特集, application/pdf, FEATURE ARTICLES},
